Mobile games have come a long way in recent years. These days, you can not only play outstanding games on your phone, but there are many amazing games you can play with friends.
While I still regret the loss of split-screen experiences in multiplayer in console games, the online multiplayer mode for mobile devices makes sense and has reached the point where we can now get some of the best gaming experiences in multiple genres, depending on your phone.
It’s pretty amazing how well PUBG Mobile plays on Android. This is a massive PvP battle battles game that confronts 100 players against each other on a massive island loaded with weapons, ammunition, tactical equipment and vehicles. You join as a solo player or as part of a team and you must use all your best skills to knock down your opponents until you are the last man standing.
It’s not uncommon for a popular PC or console release to find its way to Android, but you’ll be surprised how well you play PUBG on a smartphone. The developers have made it easier for mobile players to collect and manage items, and have also added bots in the lower ranges to help players enter the game experience. The compatibility with the Bluetooth controller would be a good addition, but the touch controls are some of the best I’ve seen for a shooter on the mobile.
It also allows you to reduce the scale of the graphics so you can enjoy a smooth game even when playing on an older device. If you have a newer device, increase your configuration to the maximum and enjoy one of the best looking mobile games I’ve played in a long time.
PUBG Mobile somehow offers all the epic moments that I would expect the PC game to be reduced perfectly for mobile devices. Best of all, it’s free to play and is currently exempt from in-app purchases. Gather your squad and I will see you on the battlefield!
Fortnite Battle Royal (beta)
My hands are basically tied to include Fortnite in this list. After months of waiting for the beta version of Android, it finally launched for the latest Android star devices, after being briefly exclusive to Samsung Galaxy devices.
This is the complete Fortnite experience reduced for your smartphone and packages in all the extravagant features and features you’ll find in PC or console versions, such as Battle Pass seasons, Solo and Squad game modes, and many ways to Customize your character using V-Bucks. You can sign in with your existing Fortnite account if you have played it on a PC or console, and all your character updates and the V-Bucks balance will follow you on all your devices.
This is a great money generator for Epic Games, from people who spend real money on in-app purchases, but you really do not need to spend money on the game to have fun. However, I would recommend that you invest in a Battle Pass, since you can unlock a ton of awesome content that would otherwise only be available if you buy it directly from the store.
The game is still in beta (and it certainly feels that way), with essential features such as compatibility with the Bluetooth driver and voice chat yet to be added. It is also not available in the Google Play Store, so you will have to download it from the Galaxy App Store on your Samsung phone or register to get the beta version below.
If you love the concept of a real mobile battle game but your phone can not handle PUBG Mobile or Fortnite, Battlelands Royale is an excellent option to try. It offers a fairly unique version of the genre that requires some time to get used to, but is ideal for informal gaming sessions. Like PUBG or Fortnite, you must parachute on a map with, in this case, another 29 players, and you must search for weapons, ammunition and armor while you remain in the security circle and eliminate your enemies.
He is limited to carrying one pistol at a time and the ammunition is very scarce, which leads to some very intense moments in which he must decide whether to attack an enemy or try to sneak away from them. There is also a duo mode in which you can team up with a friend or a random player. The artistic style and the gameplay are bright and fun, and this is a great game to kill time.
Brawl Stars is a great new game for Android developed by Supercell. It is an absolute wonder to play, with more than 21 unique characters to unlock, multiple game modes and a frenetic PvP game experience that will make you come back for more. The controls are nice and basic, with double stick controls to move and shoot and a single super attack button for each character.
You start with just one character and one game mode to play. Gem Grab is a 3-on-3 battle mode in which you fight for the control of 10 gems. Win and collect trophies, keys and experiences that will help you unlock new game modes, characters and unlock battle boxes.
The second game mode you unlock is Showdown, which is a survival mode of Battle Royale in which all men are. The third mode is Heist, which is unlocked when you collect 350 trophies. It is another team mode in which your team fights to unlock your opponents before the time runs out.
This is a game that is definitely worth checking out, but it was only released in a soft way in selected countries, including Canada, so it may not be available where you are. If not, this is definitely a game to watch, especially if you are a fan of previous Supercell games such as Clash Royale and you love action-packed games.
Vainglory is a real-time MOBA PvP developed by Super Evil Megacorp and is possibly the best representation of the genre in Mobile. There are more than 35 playable characters to unlock, each with unique abilities and playing styles. 5 vs 5 matches can get pretty crazy, but since Vainglory was designed to operate at 120 frames per second, you should not have too many problems delaying the heat of the battle.
Vainglory is a free game with chests and missions, but it is also an emerging eSport, so if you become really good, you could be professional and play in international tournaments for money and prizes! It is a great game to play with friends or against random online opponents with calculated strategies and tactics needed to win each game.
Star Wars: Force Arena
Star Wars: Force Arena is a MOBA style game located in a galaxy far, far away and with all your favorite characters from the entire Star Wars universe.
You play as a hero character of the franchise while you command troops on the battlefield. There is a deep strategy involved here to be competitive, since each game is against another player who also tries to break your defenses and destroy your base.
There are modes for a player to work on your skills, but the real meat and the potatoes here are the battles ranked 1 on 1 and the battles for arcade 2 on 2. The game is pretty balanced, it does not matter if you choose to fight for the Rebellion or Join the Dark Side and the scale of the action at its best looks and feels like an epic scene from one of the movies.
